Self-Aligning Roller Bearing
This kind of bearing can carry great radial load and a little axial load but it is seldomly used to carry sole axial load. The spherical outer ring raceway grant the bearing self-aligning function so that the bearing can keep well performance when the shaft have deformation under heavy load or the tilt degree between outer and inner rings are not exceed the tolerance range from 0.5 to 2. The only difference between self-aligning roller bearing and self-aligning ball bearing is the rolling elements. For its roller could carry heavy load, this kind of bearing is widely used in mining or heavy machines. The bearing can limit the axial displacement of the shaft or housing to the range of axial tolerance. Aligning ball and roller bearings can be substituted for each other if there are no special requests on load or rotating speed.
